Lifestyle Visit:
The Villages internal “Official” sales and real estate offices can offer you a package to whet your appetite for the Villages. It is called their Lifestyle program and can be tailored to the length and scope of your interests. Typically, people purchase the Lifestyle package for a one-week term and sales team will put you up in a home equipped with a golf cart to fully experience and appreciate the same amenities as the long-term renters and owners.
House rentals:
Many homeowners in The Villages choose to rent-out their properties for a wide variety of time periods. There is a large influx of monthly “snowbird” rentals annually from December to April, with the peak months being rentals for February to March. Many rentals are booked 1+ years in advance and often an owner will give first right of refusal to the current tenants. Apartment leasing:
The Villages has recently (2021) built apartment units that are available for six-month, one-year, and longer lease periods. This form of housing has been very popular and there is/may be a waiting list. The apartments come in a variety of sizes and configurations. Home purchasing:
Buying a home in The Villages is mostly done through two paths. The Villages has its own in-house real estate sales department and there are also several brokerages that handle sales within The Villages. Set up a area-wide filter in a real estate app such as realtor.com or zillow.com and you can establish an ongoing search by price point, neighborhood, and home features
