Children in The Villages

There has been a lot of discussion and writings about children in The Villages including topics such as “What to do with them?” and “Are children allowed in adult pools?”. This is not going to answer all of the possible topics, but here are some top level do’s and don’ts

One of the very good summaries has been written by Ryan Erisman, who wrote “Inside the Bubble”. His March 2023 article can be found <HERE>

Some very simple “Do NOT Do” with children while visiting in The Villages

  • Children are not allowed to visit longer than a contiguous 30 days.
  • Children under the age of 14 are not allowed to drive a golf cart.
  • Children are NOT allowed to be i a pool designated as an “adult” pool; there are specific family pools.

Very GOOD things to do with children

  • Take them on a boat cruise across Lake Sumter
  • Take them golfing on a 9-home executive course. There are also three “pitch & putt” course in The Villages that are perfect for children and families playing together.
  • Take them to the festivities every night in any of the town squares.
